Short-Term Missions

At Neighborhood Church we desire to build within our church family a heart that seeks to share the love of Christ with the world. One of the ways that we do that is by sending out short term missions teams (1 week – 3 months) and we invite those who are active in the life of Neighborhood Church to participate in one of these opportunities.

Testerazo, Mexico - July 28- August 1, 2010
Come see what God is doing in Testerazo, Mexico and work alongside native missionaries. The primary focus of this trip will be to help with construction, cooking and taking care of children at a farm labor camp.

Costa Rica- June 27- July 9, 2011 We will be partnering with our missionaries, Jeff & Tracy Dixon, to help with the on-going community development work they do in Costa Rica. The goal is for our team to partner with them and the poor to come together cross-culturally to encounter God, share the Good News, disciple and serve others in specific areas such as, agribusiness, technology, art, construction, dentistry, education, health care, media, physical therapy, social work, special education, and sports.

Other short term mission opportunities are available for teens and adults through a local missions organization called Students International.  Check out their website at www.stint.com.
