Houston Summer Camp- Volunteer to spend a week with kids from Houston School doing games, eating snacks, doing art projects, serving the neighborhood and learning about the Good Samaritan story from the Bible. Camp will be July 19-23 at Houston School from 8am-12pm. If you would like to volunteer, contact Stephanie.
Houston Adult Classes- Volunteer to spend a week with adults from Houston School helping with classes on computers, Conversational English/Spanish, floral arranging, scrapbooking and Bible Study. Camp will be July 19-23 at Houston School from 8am-12pm. If you would like to volunteer, contact Lori.
Houston Backpack Drive- In August, we will donate 250 backpacks filled with supplies, one for each 4th, 5th and 6th grade student at Houston School, to provide them with tools they need to propel them forward in their education. Each filled backpack costs $20. If you would like to make a donation, write a check to Neighborhood Church with "Backpack" in the memo line.
Cook a Meal- The Warehouse, a church of predominantly homeless and low income people, meets at a warehouse in central Visalia for church every Sunday. They are looking for some people to help make lunch once a month for the 100 people that attend. If you would like to help make a meal, contact Stephanie.
