About NC
What We Believe

We Believe...

That God is one Divine Being, manifest in three persons‑Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
(2 Corinthians 13:14 & Matthew 28:19)

That the Bible is God's infallible Word, fully inspired by the Holy Spirit; it is the only basis and adequate guide for faith, life and service. (2 Timothy 3:16‑17)

That Jesus Christ is the Son of God; He was born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, performed miracles, died for the sins of the world, was raised from the dead and ascended to heaven, is now at the throne of God, and will personally return to earth. (Colossians 1:15‑20)

That men and women were created by God in His image, but because of sin are lost and destined for judgment
(Romans 5:12)

That by God's grace a person is saved by repenting of their sin, believing in Jesus Christ, and by personally receiving Him as Savior and Lord. (John 1:12; 1 John 1:9; Ephesians 2:8)

That the Holy Spirit indwells the believer at conversion and the life change that occurs is very visible and real.
(2 Corinthians 5:17)

That Christians are called to make a public demonstration of their commitment to Jesus Christ through baptism.
(Matthew 28:19)

That the Church is the extended body of Jesus Christ and seeks to live in obedience to God's Word
(Acts 16:5; Hebrews 10:25)

That participation in the Lord's Supper (communion) reminds believers of and symbolizes the sacrificial death of Jesus Christ. (I Corinthians 11:24‑25)

That every Christian is a disciple of Jesus Christ and is a steward of lifetime, talent and treasure.
(Matthew 6:19‑21)

That the Holy Spirit has gifts to give the Christian, and that we should show spiritual fruit as evidence of a Spirit‑filled life.
(1 Corinthians 12:4‑6; Galatians 5:22)

That loyalty to Jesus Christ takes priority over any other person or organization.
(Matthew 10:37‑39; Acts 5:29)

That the Christian experience is to be one of separation from unholy and destructive practices.
(Hebrews 6:11)

That every person will one day stand before the judgment seat of God, and there receive eternal life or death.
(2 Corinthians 5:10)

That the mission of the church is to bring the good news of Jesus Christ‑the Gospel‑to others in all the world.
(Matthew 28:18‑20)

That when the Lord returns, the living believers will be raptured and the dead in Christ will be resurrected to eternity with Christ in heaven. (1 Thessalonians 4:16‑17)
